A
"Smart" Classroom is defined as a room with a video
projector installed in the ceiling, hookups for computers and
laptops and access to the Internet.
Note: All campus classrooms have Internet access, an overhead
transparency projector, Vhs VCR and TV monitor. "Smart" classrooms
have a ceiling video projector and no TV monitor. The projector
is used to display the VCR.

Three
Levels of "Smart" Classroom
|

Level 1: Projector,
Vhs VCR, computer hookups for two computers, network connection.
Connection for additional device- Elmo, DVD etc. Uses projector
remote control.
First generation installations with projectors that are 4-5 years
old and less bright.
Note: No computer
Bring your own laptop or order a computer from Classroom Services
X5-3694.

2: All
of the above plus: Control system. Brighter projector.
Note: No computer

Level
3: All
of the above plus: Much brighter projector. Presentation table.
Sound system.
Note: Computer provided (Windows XP) or bring your own laptop.

- Schedule
a Smart Classroom through your college's room scheduler person.
Make your need known to the college scheduler as early as possible
at the time classroom assignments are being determined for the
next quarter.
